Diagnostics

Diagnostics are powered by tree-sitter-teradata and surface syntax (grammar) errors as ERROR diagnostics directly in Neovim.

• Standard Neovim Integration: Errors appear through the standard vim.diagnostic interface — virtual text, signs in the gutter, quickfix/location lists (:lopen), and vim.diagnostic.get() all work out of the box.
• Real-Time Linting: Diagnostics refresh automatically on TextChanged, BufEnter, and BufWritePost.
• Scope: Detects SQL grammar errors as you type.
• Filetypes: Active on filetypes specified in ft (default: .sql, .teradata) or controlled via sql_detection.

Note: If the Teradata Tree-sitter parser is not installed, syntax diagnostics and schema-aware completion will be disabled. Run :checkhealth vim-teradata to verify.
